Progressive Periodontal Therapy: A Comprehensive Approach to Periodontal Management (3 CE)
Identifying disease at its earliest stages is essential to prevent the progression of oral and systemic diseases. Proper classification of a patient’s risk factors and potential rate of progression enables the dental hygienist’s role to be fully maximized. It is estimated that over 80 percent of Americans are experiencing insulin resistance. One can have insulin resistance for up to 20 years before being pre-diabetic. Insulin resistance impacts every organ and body and is crucial to acute and chronic disease prevention. This course is designed to equip the dental professional to take a more comprehensive look at the root cause of oral and systemic inflammation. The clinician will obtain practical information for chairside implementation.
